Compare App Store and Google Play screenshot sizes.

Check your Google Play screenshot sizes before uploading. A valid image size does not replace a review of the content or device requirements.

One design. Both store sets.

Use a Play Store screenshot generator to adapt your app screens without rebuilding each composition for a second store.

Frequently asked questions

Preparing Google Play Store screenshots for your app listing.

The publication minimum is two screenshots across supported device types, with up to eight per device type. Device-specific requirements also apply. For a phone-only app, prepare at least two phone screenshots; choose additional screens when they explain a distinct feature.

You can reuse the design and headlines when they accurately reflect both versions of your app, but export the files for each destination. Minimalist Screens includes both size sets in one kit. Check each composition after resizing and use platform-specific app captures where the interface differs.

Check the guidance for the device type you target. Google explicitly disallows device frames and extra graphics for Wear OS screenshots; do not treat that device-specific rule as a universal phone requirement. Keep your actual app interface clear and review the current preview-asset guidance before uploading.

Impressions alone do not identify the cause. Separate exposure from store visits and installs, then review whether your listing matches the audience and promise that brought visitors there. Check the icon, first screenshots, feature graphic and description together. Make the app’s main benefit clear without assuming a screenshot change will guarantee more downloads.
